Election Update

Labour has the majority in the lower house, with a massive swing. Howard is gone. And it's looking likely he's going to lose his seat - only the second time in Australian history the PM hasn't won in his electorate.

Hmm. Harry Potter as PM...

And as an added benefit for my flist, this should be the last time I spam you with election-related posts. At least for the next few years *g*

And what have you got against Howard? Thanks to him and Costello the economy is solid and the future looks bright. How can you be happy that Rudd is going to f*(k the future of Australia up? Because him and Gillard are going to.

Howard is a tool, who has no (social or otherwise) conscience, and has changed what it means to be australian from about having a fair go and mateship, to i me myself and fuck off to minorities.

Ah yes, towing the ever naive party line there. Selling off public assets to pay debt is NOT good economic policy, it is merely a redistribution of assets. Interest rates are largely dominated by the world economy, haowards primary platform is nothing more than the shit that got scraped off bennelong on saturday night.

And about going back 1000 years and switching off the electricity, well im pretty sure that wont happen, and now our labor laws will also remain relevant to the current millenium.
