The awesome things you find while surfing the internet

No posts for months and now twice in a night? Yep, you can tell I'm procrastinating, but this was too good not to share. From the brilliant Neil Gaiman:
(quoted wholesale)

"I know that David Tennant's Hamlet isn't till July. And lots of people are going to be doing Dr Who in Hamlet jokes, so this is just me getting it out of the way early, to avoid the rush...

"To be, or not to be, that is the question. Weeelll.... More of A question really. Not THE question. Because, well, I mean, there are billions and billions of questions out there, and well, when I say billions, I mean, when you add in the answers, not just the questions, weeelll, you're looking at numbers that are positively astronomical and... for that matter the other question is what you lot are doing on this planet in the first place, and er, did anyone try just pushing this little red button?"

I love Neil Gaiman. It makes me regret never being able to get past my mental block on comics, otherwise I would rush out and buy everything he'd ever written, ever.

(P.S Just watched Supernatural finale. GUH. Just... GUH. They expect me to wait 3 months until the next season? But then, given that this show has had longer mid-season hiatuses (hiatusi?), I guess I shouldn't be complaining too much.)

Oh Gaiman. Oh. *loves* That is hilarious!

I really need to catch up on Doctor Who.

But Supernatural? Oh noes! *rocks back and forth* I can't wait for Fall. I can't. I need it now!

This season has kept to a pretty high standard - despite my concerns, I'm really loving Donna, and while a few of the episodes have been less brilliant than others, all of them have been entertaining.

*joins you in rocking* There's gotta be some sort of rule against ending seasons this way... the Surgeon General says Cliffhangers are harmful to your health!

Hee. Neil Gaiman is made of win.

I'm really really hoping to see David Tennant in Hamlet this year *fingers crossed*

All you people who live on the right hemisphere! Bah to you! *shakes fist* (You are still in the UK, right? Or did I miss things in my extra-long LJ hiatus?)

I was in Australia at the beginning of this year, but am in the UK again now until September.

Good to have you back!

That Gaiman quote is perfect. *g* Especially the 'weeelll' parts.

And the shortish hiatus (as in three months instead of six months) seems to be popular this year. I wonder if it's to do with the writer's strike disrupting the season for a few shows? Not that I'm complaining, the long wait between seasons is always annoying. :p

I can just see Tennant doing that face-screwy thingy he does while I'm reading it.

Yeah, I'm assuming it's because of the writers strike, and things finishing later than usual. Whatever the reason, the short hiatus is definitely goodness!

Neil Gaiman is amazing. :)

He is, isn't he.
