Birthday!

Generally, I'm not to keen on birthdays - either something goes wrong, or someone is in a really feral mood, or some other disaster occurs. But, for once, this one went of without a hitch (apart from the rampant hayfever - but I'm pretty much immune, so that didn't bother me too much :)).

Of course, most importantly - I GOT MY IPOD!! :) I call him Menhir. So very shiny. And a promise of the first season Battlestar Gallatica boxset from Bob/ette and the Other Sister, once we return to civilisation. (Civilisation being defined as towns with more than one dedicated DVD shop).

Hmm... one of the new down lights in my room is flickering. A lot. Like some weird EM alien is trying to communicate using their version of morse code. Alternatively, it could be overheating, but I thought that they were supposed to turn off when they do that? Of course, given the electrician managed to put a hole in my ceiling in the wrong spot, before putting his foot through the ceiling in my parent's room, anything is possible. As long as it doesn't burst into flames, I guess.
