Yeah, so everyone remembers that I work in an Abattoir over the summer, right? Well, today was my last day. Which, as it turned out, was probably a very good thing, because if it hadn't already been my last day, I think I would have quit.
The entire day was a complete mess, and I spent most of it either a) trying to fix other people's mistakes or b) being blamed for other people's mistakes. Combine that with machine breakdowns (my machine, of course), dealing with the general incompetence of all the new staff (which is totally not their fault, but I am getting pissed that not only are they not being trained, what they ARE being taught is wrong), the new assistant foreman (no clue), and new QA (no clue, but that doesn't stop her from being an interfering pain-in-the-ass), a cold and a killer headache, and I think I officially had my worst day at work ever. Everybody seemed to have decided that today was the the day to go blame the girl on the colour codes, ignoring the fact that what they were whinging about was either completely out of my control, or something I was told to do by the assistant boss or QA or both. It was not a fun day, did I mention that?
On the plus side, when the Boss and the boss QA realised how upset I was (this may have something to do with the fact I finished the night in tears - very embarrassing, I don't recommend it), the Boss was really nice to me, and made a point of telling me what a great/wonderful/amazing employee I was, and how there was no way the people giving me shit would have been able to do my job. OK, I'm sure most of it wasn't all that sincere, but it was nice anyway. And then when I got home, I found Bob/ette had left a nice note on my pillow, so that was good.
Oh, and they didn't pay me for my overtime. Which is kinda ironic - the pay office is finishing the way they started, by screwing me around. *sigh*
Ok, so that's enough wallowing, I'm gonna go find something good to read before I go to bed.
