lyoreSaw Cars tonight. It was ... enjoyable. Apart from that, I'm not completely sure about my opinion of it, it just seemed off in a few places, but I freely admit that I was not in the right mood to really appreciate it. Actually, I think my biggest dislike was the girlfriend - I spent the entire movie feeling like she'd been transplanted from any one of 2567 other movies, there was nothing individual about her. But I loved the 'car-ified' scenes running over the credits. And the mechanic/pit crew cars were cute.
Fandom-wise, the MsScribe saga is up and (mostly) complete. I'm surprised by the amount of class that everyone is showing about this, since it had the potential to get wankier than than anything else I've ever seen. Politeness (and apologies) abounds on all sides. I haven't paid so much attention to the HP fandom in a long time, it's interesting to see who's still around and who's not, as well as watching people's reactions.
It looks like Stargate Season 9 is actually going to be shown in Australia sometime in the next few months. They may even get started before the DVDs come out :) Apparently, Atlantis isn't scheduled yet.
Also - work sucks.
