That TV show Meme

My LJ has been devoid of significant content lately (why Hello Thar, Real Life), so I was planning on doing that TV Show meme that's been going around - hey, at least it's fannish! But I got bogged down on the last question, so I present you:
Back in the Day: 5 TV Shows You Loved As A Kid
1. SeaQuest (Had my first ever TV crush on Jonathon Brandis. *sigh*)
2. JAG (Well, as a teenager)
3. Mysterious Cities of Gold (excellent cartoon)
4. Pinky and the Brain
5. Hercules: TLJ
Who Would You Do?: 5 TV Characters You Would...Well, It's Self-Explanatory (assuming no strings, no consequences, no marriages)
1. Daniel Jackson
2. Jack O'Neill
3. Harmon Rabb (Jr.)
4. Dean Winchester
5. Logan (Dark Angel)
... Why can I only name 5?
What? No, No, I Don't Watch That...: 5 Guilty Pleasure TV Shows
1. So you think you can Dance
2. Dancing with the Stars
... Yeah, think that's about it.
Eh: 5 Shows You Just Can't Get Into
1. Stargate: Atlantis
2. X-files
3. Heroes
4. Smallville
5. Any medical-drama show.
The Starting Line-Up: 5 Channels You Go To First When You Sit Down to Watch TV
*snicker* We only *have* 5 channels, and only 3 of them are mainstream commercial ones. ABC and SBS are good for documentaries though.
This Is An Environment of Welcoming, and You Should Just Get the Hell Out Of Here: 5 TV Characters You Could Do Without
1. Noranti (Farscape)
2. Vala (She's OK, but I get really irritated when Stargate starts pushing ship at me)
3. Bela (And the point of this character is?)
4. emo!Spike (He was so much cooler Evil)
5. Jarod's girlfriend (Pretender.)
That's What She Said: 5 Quotes That Still Resonate
Eh. I suck at quotes. And I mostly like the long ones too.
But definitely "Your Logic is not like our Earth logic". Love you, Xander. Oh, and Bobby's 'Need to Know' speech from I-Man. Sadly, I can no longer remember the exact wording.
Gimme More: 5 Shows You Can Never Get Enough Of
1. Doctor Who
2. Stargate (when it's good)
3. Buffy (ditto)
4. I-man (not that I ever got the chance to find out *sniffle*)
5. Farscape (it's the good crack)
Waaaaa!: 5 Shows You Still Mourn Losing Prematurely
1. Invisible Man
2. Firefly
3. Angel (it was just getting interesting again!)
... I'm sure there are more. Perhaps I blocked them from my mind due to the trauma of premature cancellation?
5 Shows You Wish They'd Killed (or at least ended) While They Were Still Good
OK, this one was tricky. 'Cause while there are a lot of shows I've liked, even been fannish about, which would fit into a "They used to be so Good: 5 Shows that have passed their prime" category, there are very few I'd rather had cancelled (for those curious, the only one I can think of off the top of my head is Dark Angel - yes, even though that would mean losing Jensen. Season 2 was just a complete mess.).
It's no secret that I tend to prefer earlier canon to later for a lot of series - Buffy, Stargate, Farscape, Lois and Clark, Pretender, Invisible Man, hell, if we swap mediums, even Harry Potter and Star Wars. I find most series tend to hit their stride in the second season (and yes, of course there are exceptions), but eventually I start to get less enthused about the direction the story is going in.
But even for series in which I dislike more of the newer canon than I like, I'm not sure that I'd want them cancelled, cause most of the time, within the dross, are gems I think the universe is stronger with that withoutexcept the EU. Well, most of it, anyway. Cameron Mitchell, for instance. Even Vala. So no list here.
