Happy New Year! And all that jazz.

Status Report:

Airconditioner = Still not fixed
Temperature = Still above 40
Lyore = Still not happy

New Years Resolution = To keep track of the books I read this year. Why? Because, slob that I am, I can be scarily methodical about things when I care to be. We'll see how it goes.

I'm also planning to kidnapped the actor who played Father Christmas/Santa in Narnia (Mmmm - Jedi!Aslan) to be Dumbledore in the next Harry Potter movies. I don't care if he's not English.

I'm assuming most of you have seen/heard about these before, since it's been out for a while, but if you haven't, check out Daniel Jackson Action Figure. Now, correct me if I am wrong, but doesn't Daniel normally WEAR GLASSES? :-( Reminds me of all the ultra-buff Luke Skywalker figurines you used to see. Someone may think that the companies have no experience with Geeky action figures.

It's also interesting that in the first batch of figures, there's TWO O'Neills, Daniel and random serpent guard. Sam and Teal'c are supposed to be in the next bunch, but really, this makes no sense to me.

Random Observation of the Day - Exactly how DO you do glasses on an action figure anyway? Detachable ones really wouldn't work (at the very least, they'd fall off two seconds after you pulled the figure out of the box, if you ever managed to fit them on the face in the first place), and drawing them on would be, well, just plain wrong. Any ideas/examples?

... Nah. They lie.

It must be his estranged cousin twice removed on his mother's side who was abducted by aliens and subjected to plastic surgery, also named Daniel Jackson.

Well, that's as good an explanation as any. But you think the aliens could have hired a better plastic surgeon (or at least figured out that the 'plastic' part isn't meant to be taken literally).
