JOB! and other occurances
Oct. 5th, 2005 12:39 amI got told off by my sister for not updating this in *shock/horror* 4 days - It wasn't my fault! Unfortunately, to access the internet, I need money on my account, which I did not have. Obviously, this has since been rectified, and here I am.
Contrary to all expectations, this last 4 days has in fact contained some fairly important events (you know, apart from seeing Serenity multiple times). Namely - I got the graduate job I was hoping for. Guess spending all that money on the interview clothes paid off, huh? And I am happy about it, really - it just means that I have now got to face the fact that uni is finally going to be over and I'm going to have to be all adult-y. But still, I will actually be getting paid!
Other than that - the parents came down for the weekend, which meant I got to tell them the news in person. I don't think I've ever seen them so excited. Anyone would think they were trying to get me off their hands :) Very nice to see them again. Even managed to drag them (and Bob/ette) to see Serenity - and since my mother is strictly rom-com, this was a major achievement. She said it was OK, but my Dad liked it - actually, he kept saying it was 'pleasant' to bug me, but afterwards, he asked about the series, whether they were out on DVD, and if I owned them. Ladies and Gentlemen, we may have a new convert.
To other news - I have an extremely annoying cold, which has manifested mostly in the form of complete voice loss, and today, a very annoying cough. It's alot easier to enjoy a movie when NOT trying to hack up a lung. Although, interestingly, every time I go to the movies, my voice gets worse. Someone needs to inform the PTB that when I said the movie rendered me speechless, I was speaking figuratively.
Random Observation of the Day - That Salada thing? Standing at about 75% not breaking down the line. Pretty shoddy, Arnotts.
