Ahah! Just when you'd thought I'd gone home and forgotten you all, it's an update!

First things first - I have an apartment for next year. Well, strictly speaking, my parent's have an apartment, which I shall rent. And if you want to be really accurate, it's not actually their's yet, since they still have to do all the exchanging contracts and stuff. But they've paid the deposit, which is good enough for me.

It's so lovely. Very high ceilings - probably 12 foot. And fully furnished, which is cool, since I own nothing. And, to make [personal profile] wolfwarrior happy, it's on her side of town. Sounds like it is fairly close to [profile] __happy__'s place. Words do not do its wonderfulness justice.

On to other news - work sucks. As usual. To make matters worse, there is a whole heap of chicks working there at the moment, and they've run out of lockers. Grrghh.

But since I'm only working 4 days a week, I had yesterday off. So I decided to go the gym - yes, stop laughing, I can hear you from here. I had a free pass thingy they gave mean when I said I was thinking of joining them.

So I went to this class, which I was told was all punching, kicking and hitting people with sticks. That would have been good - it's been far too long since I've got to hit somebody properly - the sisters don't count. Unfortunately, the instructors had changed since the chick I was talking to had done it. And the new lady made it into aerobics with a stick. Which was OK, but not really what I was looking for. Then I was talking to the receptionist/manager person, and she said stick around for the pilates class. So I did.

I was suprised - it wasn't too bad. Except that the instructor kept getting parallel and perpendicular mixed up, which I found both confusing and amusing. Oh, and she kept saying 'Activate the core', and 'Activate the transverse abdominus', and 'Activate the buttocks'. By the end, I was just picturing a bunch of little, fluorescent cartoon muscles, holding up big swords and yelling 'Core, ACTIVATE!', before running off to battle evil and/or sloppy muscle control.

Note to self - it's a lot easier to do pilates when you aren't trying desperately to stop snickering. Or at least, to not snicker out loud.

Oh and for those interested - the entire cast of SG-1 have signed on for the next season. And Claudia Black is back as a regular. This could either be very good or very bad. I liked Vala, but hopefully she'll tone it down just a little.

*sigh* Work now. I hate work.

Random Observation of the Day - This is the second time I'v tried to update this. Stupid intenet connnection.
