Trips, fics, and Stargate

OK, so I'm back. Business trip went very well - got to see (and touch!) cool toys, even the boring meeting wasn't too boring (just very long) and I didn't actually kill my boss, even though he was incredibly annoying, to the point to being embarrassing, for the entire trip. Unfortunately, I didn't get any time to work on that fic, but that's OK since I think I finished most of the editing last night. I just want to do a final read-through before I post it, so baring me finding any glaring errors, it should go up today.

On the topic off Stargate, I finally got the newest episode. Off to watch that once I finish updating this, so you may end up with yet another post from me about that. I apologise in advance if I end up spamming your flist. Of course, me being able to spam you depends on me successfully defending my internet connection from bob_ette. We'll see how that goes.

Completely random note - I put this very nice (and a tad expensive) bracelet on layby a few weeks ago, and I got it out today. It's so very pretty *hugs bracelet*. If I had a digital camera I'd be tempted to take pictures, but I don't so people will just have to use their imaginations :)

Still on a Stargate note, what do people think about the possible continuation of the movie-verse? It would be interesting to see where they went with it, especially as Devlin has said he didn't want to invalidate any of the SG-1 storylines.

Notes 2: OK, technically, Serenity was released in late 05, which would make it Season 8 of SG-1. For the purposes of this story, I’ve moved the release date of Firefly and Serenity up a few years, so the action in this story is set around early season four-ish.
