I hate Mondays. I really, really do.

Except for Supernatural, which was actually on this week. Yay! But jeez, Channel 10 is pissing me off. Last week, no Supernatural. This week, no SVU, so they could show the latest reality TV special. Tonight, Supernatural 20 minutes late, because of Big Brother. When it finally started, we got the bottom banners flashing up, advertising, you guessed it, Big Brother. Just... no. That show is annoying at the best of times, the least they could do is keep it safely contained in it's own timeslot, and stop the toxic stupidity infecting everything else.

I have a new plan. bob_ette is currently on a boycotting big business kick, and I think I may join her. Except I'll boycott everything that advertises during the parts of Big Brother which run into Supernatural time. Sounds like a plan to me.

Anyway, up to episode 25 of FMA. Good Stuff.

Right. So, I promised cloverfizz a list of ships for my shows, since we decided this topic was getting outside of worksafe boundaries. Except, since this is me, Gen-Girl extraordinaire, it's more a list of ships-I-don't-despise. Anyway, for those new to my lj, this may be enlightening.

Stargate SG-1: Anything but Sam/Jack, really. Sam/Rodney, Jack/Sara (the wife). Edit: Also, Sam/Martouf and Sam/Narem

Farscape: John/Aeryn, all the way. Chianna/D'argo, Zahn/D'Argo, Zahn/Stark - basically, it's all good, as long as there is no splitting up of J/A

Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel: Buffy/Angel. One of my few OTPs, actually. Everything else is OK, (with the exception of fluffy Spike/Angel), esp if it gets a little twisted (Faith/Wes, Angel(us)/Spike, The fantastic four, Buffy/Faith), although I have a soft spot for Wes/Fred, and Willow/Oz. Because Oz was cool.

BttlStr: Gaius/Six, Roslin/Adama, Starbuck/Apollo, Boomer/Chief/Helo.

Supernatural: NA

Star Wars: Leia/Han, Luke/Mara is OK, I guess. And Obi-wan/Red Commander, of course :)

X-Men Movies: Wolverine/Rogue

Invisible Man: Bobby/Claire, Bobby/Darien sometimes.

Pretender: Jarod/Miss Parker

Dark Angel: Max/Logan

Pirate of the Caribbean: Will/Elizabeth, Will/Jack/Elizabeth - This is the only movie I've seen that just screamed OT3.

Firefly: All the canon pairs, really.

Law & Order: SVU: Olivia/Elliot



Right. Pretty sure I missed some, but that should give people a general idea of what I read (and what fandoms) when I can't find gen.

Also, my phone? Psychotically happy. It's kinda scary. I want a new one.

Can you remind me tomorrow how Gun and Fred seperated and how she eventually ended up with Wes, because I can't remember anything before she died.

Well, off the top of my head - and I don't remember that much, it's been ages since I've watched it:

Think they's been having some problems (possiby about Gun being over-protective, but I don't really remember) and then Fred found out that she got sent to Pylea by her old professor, on purpose, and was very pissed about this. She wanted to kill him, and Gun tried to talk her out of it, but Fred tried to do it anyway. It ended up with Gun killing the Prof. so she didn't become a killer. And then they broke up.

So yeah, basically that was how they broke up.

Wes didn't do anything about it for ages, even when Fred started dropping hints the size of mount Everest. I believe she resorted to out-and-out kissing him to get his attention - which worked :)

And then, just when they were getting it together, she died. *sigh*

Ah, I remember when she and Wes finally got together (that was very sweet)! The interim is a blur to me, it goes: Gun/Fred --> Wes/Fred --> Fred is DED and now welcome Illyria. Her colouring was awesome.

Dark Angel... I totally forgot this one on my list. I go Max/Logan as well. Spare me from all Max/Alec and Max/Zak. I actually liked fic set when they were kids more than anything else, so I guess this one is my primary gen fandom.
Pirates... Now I'm just going to have to find some sort of perfect screencap and icon it for you, lol.
SVU... OMG, You ship Olivia/Elliot? I'm horrified beyond belief! I can't cope with that for much the same reasons I can't cope with Sam/Jack.
Anyway, I'm for bed now. Might think of more commentry tomorrow.

I must admit, one of the reasons I loathe Sam/Jack is the tendancy of the writers (on the show and in the fandom) to ignore the rest of the team. Plus, could they drag it any longer? I was fairly neutral about it at first, but now I really dislike it.

I spelt BSG the way I did because I copied your list as a starting point.

Yeah, Luke/Mara can be either really good or really bad. I do prefer Luke by himself, honestly, but at least part of that is because having Mara around normally means they include other parts of the EU. And you know my feelings about the EU :)

Ugh. Max/Alec and Max/Zac... just no.

SVU: I really don't care that much in this show, I don't really read in the fandom, and I watch it mainly for the stories. But I like the way they work together.

Agree and agree with Sam/Jack points. My primary reason is that it just detracts from Sam's character too much though. Not particularly keen on what it does to Jack's either, but Sam has always been my fav, being that she is female, military, and super techno geek girl.

Depends on the writer quite a lot with Luke/Mara, but I point out that it depends on the writer a lot for Luke on his own too! I do indeed know your stance on the EU.. And you know mine :) I keep the stuff I like and chuck out the rest.
Season Two of Dark Angel should just be erased from the face fo the earth.
And SVU... But Elliot is/was married!! *wail* I really do love them as a team though! Gotta have Liv & Elliot together. I tend to read a lot of gen fic for that. I just can't deal with them together together
