So, since [profile] bob_ette has been stealing the internet, I've been spending some quality time on photoshop. And I have two Superman Returns wallpapers (well, one Superman and one Clark Kent) for you.

These are 1280x854, cause that's the size of my monitor, but if anyone wants other sizes, just yell. Oh, and these images are all sourced from [profile] routh_daily.

Apart from that - looks like the headphone jack on my computer has died, and I'm not sure what to do about it, short of taking the whole thing back to the shop. At the moment, I'm hoping that if I ignore it, it will fix itself.

On the work front: Met my new supervisor today, and things are looking good for the next rotation. The work looks infinitely more challenging (which may not be a good thing...) and far more up my alley, the people seem nice, and looks like I might get to do some serious training and professional development. Fingers crossed, anyway.

Err - so, my mood icon - does it disturb anyone else? Or is it just me?

Just you, I think. :)

I love the Superman wallpaper - although as Clark Kent, the actor looks so young! Maybe it's the glasses.

(I haven't even seen the movie.)

So, you don't think it looks like his eye is about to be stabbed out by that pencil? Looks nasty to me :)

Thanks!

Seeing these photos of Clark Kent, makes me wonder why Lois doesn't forget all about Superman. But then, we all know I have a thing for guys in glasses. And I just realised I have no idea how old the actor actually is.

Oh, and see the movie - it's quiet slow for a superhero movie, but if you can ignore the ludicrous plot of the bad guys, it's worth seeing for the special effects and the character relationships. IMHO, of course.

Incidentally, have you read the Kathy Reichs books on which Bones is based? Are they any good?

I know they're not anything like the TV series - you told me that when you first mentioned the series, but I'm curious all the same.

The books aren't bad, as long as you like the forensic thriller genre. They are better than Patricia Cornwells later ones, anyway.

But the characters are only remotely recognisable, and IIRC, most of the sidekicks aren't there at all. I could be wrong - it's been ages since I read any of them.

But yeah, not bad books, but only the faintest of connections to the series.

Well, the sidekicks are half the fun in the TV series. *g*

I might get the first from the library and see. :)

Hehe, your icon says "all the better to stab your eyes out, my dear". I must change my mood theme.

It's good to hear about the next rotation, I hope it's everything it seems (e.g. interesting)!

Very nice wallpapers -- the bewilderment on Clark's face is so familiar, it's great, and the Superman shot is wonderful. Nice job!

As long as I'm not the only one that thinks that.

Thanks. The superman one is one of my favourite ones I've made, and I just love the colours and expression in the Clark one.
