I just got a phone call from my parents to tell me that two of the three topics on The Einstein Factor (a quiz show where the contestants chose their own subjects, for the uninitiated) tonight were Stargate SG:1 and Harry Potter. Of course, I switched channels and played along. It would probably come as no surprise to the people on my flist when I say that I probably would have won that show :) Apparently I should be going on game shows :P

This seems like a suitable time to use my 'Geekiest Grad' icon.

In the same phone call, my Dad asked me whether I had 'that Battlestar show' on DVD, and when I assured him I did, wanted me to bring it home with me when I go home in a month. First Firefly, now BSG - I think I am gradually converting him to sci-fi. *insert evil laugh here*

And I need to go to the Dentist and get my wisdom teeth out - I think I've put it off for as long as possible :(

I found your post here, and would like to say "Hurray!" that someone else likes The Einstein Factor.

I'm Kathleen McGarry, the girl who was on with the topic of Harry Potter...

Hi! *waves enthusiastically, and digs out HP icon*

Wow - small world. In the sense that you were on a TV show, and I watched the TV show... possibly that's not such a small world, but you know what I mean :)

I like the Einstein Factor (although I find the host a little annoying at times - what's he like in person?). But I always forget it is on, since I don't watch that much TV at the moment. Congrats on your performance, btw - and congrats on having the courage to go on the show in the first place. I wondered when I was watching whether you were in fandom or not - I guess now I know :)

And I love your icon.

Yes, I like my icon too! It's Jack Davenport in Mary Bryant (you know, which was on last year)

In reality, Peter Berner is really a bit stuck-up and doesn't talk to contestants. Red Symonds was nice, but a bit eccentric.

Yes, I am in fandom, although more in the PotC fandom stuff here on lj than Harry Potter...

I think I might friend you, you seem fun.

*friends back* Although I should warn you - at the moment I am more excessively boring (read: silent) than fun. Work and RL are conspiring to severely limit my lj time, unfortunately.

Hmm, PotC fandom... I've dabbled a bit, but never really got that involved. If only there were more hours in the day...
