I've discovered the reason my internet has been so slow lately. It seems somebody (*cough*bob_ette*cough*) has used up all the internet quota. This is what happens when I leave her alone for a month...

I think it's starting to get to the stage where I have to at least consider buying a new computer. Random freezing is becoming more and more common, and my computer just can't handle running photoshop and trying to do anything else at the same time. And yes, I really DO need to have photoshop running with 20 or so Safari windows, and a in the background :)

Unfortunately, as I loathe and despise the idea of having to use Microsoft bloody Windows at work and then having to come home and use it here, I want a Mac. And new Macs, lovely and shiny as they are, also come with a bit of a hefty price tag.

Although.. I just looked at the website. I could get the base model MacBook pro, with upgraded RAM for a little over $3000 if I salary sacrifice it... Plus, it comes in Titanium Aluminium. I like Titanium Aluminium computers. Someone convince me that this is not a good idea, that I should be saving money, and not buying expensive computers.

Get the 30" mac that holds the HDD in the monitor. Big enough for media and has enough desktop space for all your windows (that's what I want, anyway).

I am indeed working on my essay in the other window. Believe it or not I'm making good progress.

Have you considered buying second hand? A second hand Macbook Pro could cost you $2500 and you'd be getting some nice features. Have a look around and you might find some good deals.

I got mine for that price and it was less than a year old

Sorry can't convince you of that. I'd do it too . I love coming home after a day of wanting to put my work computer in the tailings dam after I ran a dump truck full of ore over it and using my nice simple elegant and well behaved mac. Will have to go back and look at the france stuff later. Looks like you had fun though.
