It is the 20th of January.

There are Easter Eggs in the supermarket.

I know Easter is early this year, but don't you think this is taking it a little too far?

Gah! That's even worse than I thought. They could at least wait until after Australia Day!

I got myself hot cross buns today...
(For the record, yes, I agree it's ridiculous, but it's not going to stop me taking advantage of it, lol!)

I was sorely tempted by the Cabury solid eggs, myself. Convenient bit-sized bits of chocolate... mmm...

I saw Easter creme eggs in the shops just after Christmas - I kid you not!

You know, if it keeps going on like this, soon we'll have them in the shops before Christmas!

I've decided, I think it must be an Australian thing. I was fully expecting to go to the grocery store here and complain about Easter eggs yesterday - and none. After years of complaining, I had nothing to complain about. The Americans are all hooked up on Valentines Day first.

*sits around a waits for Australia Day* I can't wait to freak out the neighbours with our large Aussie Flag and having a BBQ in the middle of winter. I can't wait to get back home.

I guess if we had a significant holiday in between, it would be different.

I'd just complain about the Valentines day stuff instead :P

I keep forgetting it's winter over there. When do you head back?

The Valentines Day ads are getting a bit much to bear. I end up watching BBCA, and you don't see many ads for anything but Torchwood and Dr Who. It works out better that way. *g*

I'll be back in Australia on the 12th of Feb, and moving into a Hall of Residence at ANU (whichever one, when I get that offer, am hoping for Bruce) on the 16th. O Week then from the 18th to the 22nd. It's all happening.
