HELP! (Amazon.com)

OK guys, I need to know if anyone has tried to contact Amazon.com recently. I've got an order that's more than 2 weeks overdue (from the latest estimated date), and when I try and send them an email through their 'Contact Us' form, it keeps saying something along the lines of 'fix the area indicated below', and refusing to send.

Only problem is, there AREN'T any areas indicated below, and not matter what I do, it keeps saying the SAME DAMN THING. I've tried it on the work computers as well (which are Windows machines, using IE), so I don't think it's a browser/mac problem. Am I just missing something incredibly obvious? Has this happened to anyone else?

This form seems to be the only way to contact them, since the 'Leave a number and we'll call you' thing doesn't work for anyone outside America. Since this is Amazon, they don't have a customer service number. I did find a few numbers on the net, but frankly, given that this would be a rather expensive, and almost certainly very long, international call, I'm wondering if I should just cut my losses.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Needless to say, unless this order miraculously turns up overnight, it's doubtful I'll be ordering from Amazon again any time soon :(

Got any friends in the US? Could they make the inquiry?

I've found it easier to get the stuff sent to a friend in the US and then get them to mail it on to me.

And, as yet, I haven't had trouble with them (I ordered another three things sent to a US address a day ago).

Ah, how frustrating! It's been working fine for me in the UK recently. But I know what you mean about how difficult it is to get hold of them- I had a nightmare about a year ago when I was selling books on the site and I wasn't getting any emails telling me people had bought my books (leading to lots of fuming buyers and serious grovelling on my part). They are a bit of a nightmare aren't they :(

Hmmm. I could try and give them a call, if you'd like. Not sure if they need private/contact info for it, though. I've only dealt with them over email, myself. <.<

Yeah, you'd think that they could at least have an email contact.

Anyway, the package arrived, so I'm happy. Still not planning on ordering from them if I have a choice.

Unfortunately, no friends in the US :( But thats OK, it arrived today. Still not happy about the lack of contact details, but *shrug*.

I've ordered a few things from them before, and they all eventually showed up. Never taken this long before, hence the minor panic :)

I found your post via Google, I was having the same problem.

Finally I used a different browser (Firefox) and it worked. But I'm so disappointed in their setup - it's crap.

Glad you finally got your stuff, though.

I didn't think livejournal posts showed up on google...

Thanks - I don't think I tried using Firefox - I generally use Safari (yes - I'm a mac girl), and I know I tried IE. I'll keep it in mind for the future, but I was serious about looking for other places to get my American DVDs from. Once burnt, twice shy, and all that. And yes, it is crap.

I hope you get your problem sorted out, anyway. And your icon (and Nine) rocks :)
