Can you say 'Oh Yeah!'?

After a couple of less-than satisfactory days, the Mini_NaNo is coming along swimmingly. 800-odd words yesterday, and 1290 today. \o/ There would have been more, but
fialleril lured me into discussing the characterisation of Anakin and Obi-Wan on her LJ. If only I could count comments towards my word count...
So, in celebration of all things Star Wars, I bring you the following links: An AT-ST made from old computer parts. Now that's what I want for christmas.
ETA: That link appears to be dead, but you can watch the (very short) videos here and here. Look at the little LEDs which light up on its feet when he walks! So cute.
Also on the random linkage front, 'cause it's so much easier than comming up with something interesting to say myself, may I recommend this overview of the issues involved in the current WGA strike? If, like me, you've been interested in the use of what both parties so coyly term "New Media" for the distribution of shows for a while now, this dispute is definitely something to wach with interest. And the WGA strike if noteworthy for another reason - SFWA released a statement in support of the WGA, and I think it's the first time in years I've read an official statement from them and not felt like *headdesking*.
And now I am going to sleep. Zzzz.

See, you just have to find some way to include all that discussion in a story. Luke calls up Ben's ghost and says, "Man, we need to have a good long chat about your tendency toward self-delusion."
And then ghostly Anakin and Yoda would get involved in the mix, and it would be all downhill from there...

Which would be a great plan, except that it's a light-hearted pre-OT fic centered around Han! But since I've already got people swapping fictional universes via something that looks suspiciously like a wormhole, working in some ghosts and time travel shouldn't be *too* difficult. *g*
