After a couple of less-than satisfactory days, the Mini_NaNo is coming along swimmingly. 800-odd words yesterday, and 1290 today. \o/ There would have been more, but fialleril lured me into discussing the characterisation of Anakin and Obi-Wan on her LJ. If only I could count comments towards my word count...

So, in celebration of all things Star Wars, I bring you the following links: An AT-ST made from old computer parts. Now that's what I want for christmas.

Also on the random linkage front, 'cause it's so much easier than comming up with something interesting to say myself, may I recommend this overview of the issues involved in the current WGA strike? If, like me, you've been interested in the use of what both parties so coyly term "New Media" for the distribution of shows for a while now, this dispute is definitely something to wach with interest. And the WGA strike if noteworthy for another reason - SFWA released a statement in support of the WGA, and I think it's the first time in years I've read an official statement from them and not felt like *headdesking*.
